Why do we offer WiiM streamers?
The short answer: they check most of the boxes our customers care about. They sound great, they’re easy to use, they’re reliable, and they’re very affordable. Are they perfect? No. But we’ve tested them extensively, and they do the important things the right way, which makes them easy for us to recommend with confidence.
Why do you only offer the Ultra and Pro Plus models?
When deciding which streamers to promote, analog audio performance mattered. Our X Series amplifiers are exceptionally open and transparent, so it made no sense to pair them with a streamer that would hold them back. The top two WiiM models checked that box. Their analog outputs are clean, transparent, and pair very well with our X Amplifiers.
What if I’m only using the digital output?
If you’re using a digital connection, there is no audible difference between the models. In that case, choose the one that offers the features you want or need.
Important note on the WiiM Ultra
The Ultra does not support Apple Music. If Apple Music is part of your listening routine, we recommend the WiiM Pro Plus instead, as it does support it. Odd, we know.
